Here are some of CCC's accomplishments...
- The Oklahoma Department of Transportation awarded a $1.5 million contract to the Chamber for the Revitalization of NE 23rd Street.
- The City of Oklahoma City renewed an $80,000 contract to the Chamber for the restoration of NE 23rd Street businesses.
- The Chamber has received a contract from the state of Oklahoma for economic development in NE Oklahoma City.
- The Chamber provides a monthly networking forum by hosting the Minority & Women’s Business Breakfast. The Breakfast features speakers with valuable business information. This service is provided by a contract from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
- The Capitol Chamber of Commerce Foundation is incorporated and has received its IRS 501 (c) (3) determination letter.
- A 501(c) (3) status allows the Foundation to issue tax-deductible receipts on all donations by corporations, organizations and individuals.
- Eastside Capitol Gateway, a branch of the Capitol Chamber, was designated as an Oklahoma 2002 Main Street Community. The area covered will be in the business district on Northeast 23rd Street, also known as Clara Luper Corridor.
- Co-sponsored the A.L. Dowell Bridge Opening, the Highway 33 to Langston Ribbon-Cutting, and the Clara Luper Corridor Dedication Ceremony.
- The Chamber’s Education Task Force presented a highly successful public forum entitled “Issues that Impact the Quality of Life in the NE Quadrant”.
