Message From Chairman John Hasley

Welcome the the Capitol Chamber of Commerce website. I hope you will find our new website exciting and informative.

As the new Chairman of the Capitol Chamber of Commerce, I want to thank the Chamber Board of Directors for the trust they have shown in electing me Board Chair. I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Chamber in a direction that will make us the visionary leader for the eastside business community. We are on the move - a move that promises great things for the Chamber, our members and the Oklahoma City eastside business community.

Our first move was to improve the communications and operations of the Chamber. To help us, the Chamber has formed a partnership with Jones Consulting Group. With their expertise we are working on both short and long term strategies to put our plan into action.

This electronic newsletter, EastsideInside is part of this initiative. EastsideInside will be sent twice each month to help keep you updated on the latest and most current information about the eastside business community. While EastsideInside is a benefit of Chamber membership, for the first two months we will be sending the electronic newsletter to everyone in our email database.

If you are not currently a member, you can join now. To increase membership we have just started our membership drive, “Capitol Chamber on the Move.” This member-get-a-member campaign will allow Chamber members to win prizes and help the Chamber sign up new members. Other upcoming initiatives include a summer luncheon series that started on June 26th at Remington Park with the members of the legislature that represent the eastside business community. The July program featured new Oklahoma City School Superintendent John Porter. You can see details of the upcoming luncheons and other events in the Calendar feature of the newsletter and the website.

The Chamber will be unveiling more in the coming weeks of our strategy, “Working Together to Bring New Business, New Energy and New Life to Northeast Oklahoma City".
